2010 Process and Regulatory Reform: Impact on Corporate Policy, Operations and Citizenship

July 21, 2010
Donna K. Lewis , Jon A. Neiditz

On July 21, 2010, the Georgia Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel held a timely program sponsored by Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP on the "new" legislative process and reform trends in Washington, reviewing certain terms of recent healthcare, financial and educational legislation, and federal initiatives. The presentations showed how a closer look at each of these initiatives reveals implications beyond their immediate targeted industry verticals with some impact on all businesses. Understanding the new political process in Washington is critical for effective lobbying efforts and strategic business planning in other areas ripe for reform.
