(COLUMBIA,SC) February 24 --The SC Council on Economic Education has elected four new members to its board of directors from the Midlands. Michael R. Brenan, BB&T Group president for all of South Carolina; Daniel R. D’Alberto, associate, Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP; Alan B. Kahn, chairman, M. B. Kahn Construction Company, and president, Kahn Development Company, and Sharon Mann, chief financial officer, General Information Services in Chapin. Chuck Garnett, president and CEO of NBSC, assumes the position of board chairman.

The SC Council on Economic Education is a nonprofit business-education partnership dedicated to providing teachers with the tools and resources needed to educate South Carolina’s students about financial literacy, economic principles, and the changing global economy.
