Brian M. Barnwell is an associate in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Columbia office, where he practices in the area of business litigation, consumer financial services litigation and insurance.

He earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2009 from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and Order of the Wig and Robe. He served as articles editor of the Law Review and was a Bylaws Committee member. He earned CALI Awards in S.C. Workers' Compensation, Wills, Trusts, and Estates, and Constitutional Law II. He received the Irvin Steinberg Award.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in History, summa cum laude with honors in English, in 2006 from Presbyterian College.
