Caroline C. Kresky is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Atlanta where she is a commercial litigator who handles complex civil litigation in federal and state courts. She has extensive experience in arbitration and mediation.

Ms. Kresky’s practice primarily focuses on family law issues for high net worth individuals (ante-nuptials, post-nuptials, divorce, trusts, probate and estates) as well as business and real estate litigation, intellectual property cases (copyright, trademarks, covenants, & trade secrets), and alternative dispute resolution.  Ms. Kresky has jury (first chair) and non-jury trial experience.

A member of the State Bar of Georgia (General Practice and Trial, Business, Family & Intellectual Property sections) and the District of Columbia Bar, Ms. Kresky is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. District Courts of Georgia for the Middle and Northern Districts. Ms. Kresky is the author of several articles on litigation-related topics and was an editor/commentator for West’s multi-volume treatise, Georgia Jurisprudence. Ms. Kresky has also been a Georgia “Super Lawyer” for a number of years.  Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kresky was a partner at Holland & Knight LLP and at Branch, Pike & Ganz (formerly Wildman, Harrold, Allen, Dixon & Branch). She was an associate at Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker, LLP.

Ms. Kresky is a member of the American Bar Association (Commercial and Business Litigation, Intellectual Property, Family Law, Real Property Sections), the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, the Lamar Inn of Court (former President), the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, and the Atlanta Bar Association (Family Law & Litigation Sections). She is also on the Board of Directors for the Atlanta Bar Association Litigation Section.

Ms. Kresky earned a Juris Doctor, with distinction, from the Emory University School of Law in 1983. During law school, she received American Jurisprudence Awards in civil procedure and torts. She was named to the Order of the Coif. Prior to law school, Ms. Kresky was employed for ten years by Crown Crafts, Inc., a publicly traded home furnishings manufacturing company. Before then, she was a member of the European Institute and earned a Master of Arts in Political Science from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Columbia University in 1968. In 1967, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, cum laude, from Colby College where she was named to Phi Beta Kappa.
