Erika Karnaszewski serves as an associate in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP's Washington, D.C. office.

Before joining the Firm, she was a consultant for the Association of Corporate Counsel. She also has worked as a law clerk in the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of the Solicitor, Plan Benefits Security Division, where she gained experience and familiarity with ERISA.

Before attending law school, she worked as a labor and employment paralegal at another large law firm in Washington, DC. She also has worked as a government contracts litigation paralegal.

Ms. Karnaszewski is admitted to practice in Virginia and in the U.S. District Court-Eastern District of Virginia. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association and the Virginia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division.

She earned a Juris Doctor at Wake Forest University School of Law in May 2007, where she was SBA 1L and 2L Class Representative, a member of the Public Interest Law Organization and the International Law Society. She also was a mentor in Women in Law and was a Law School Mentor.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Virginia.
