Everett Boyd is of counsel to Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in its Tallahassee office. He represents car, truck, and motorcycle manufacturers and importers in civil and administrative litigation against motor vehicle dealers throughout the United States and provides advice and consultation to manufacturers and importers on dealer relations. He has also practiced extensively in a broad range of federal, state and administrative matters, including commercial, civil, general administrative, professional licensing and disciplinary actions.

Mr. Boyd began practicing in Tallahassee in 1975 and has participated in jury and non-jury trials, appellate arguments, and appearances in state and federal courts throughout Florida and before the Florida Supreme Court.

Mr. Boyd has assisted clients in state and local government procurement matters and bid protest proceedings. He has represented clients before many Florida Executive Branch agencies, including Cabinet level agencies, other regulatory departments, the Executive Clemency Board and the Florida Public Service Commission. His general administrative experience in Florida includes proposed and adopted rule challenges, bid protests and declaratory statements, utility rate cases, and professional licensure applications, denials and disciplinary actions.

He has been active in The Florida Bar and the Tallahassee Bar, having previously served as Secretary and President of the Tallahassee Bar. He also served on the Florida Public Service Commission 305 Area Code Review Panel. Mr. Boyd is an active member of the Tallahassee community and a member of Leadership Tallahassee.

He earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Florida State University College of Law in 1974 and a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 1972.
