Frank B.B. Knowlton is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Columbia where he practices in the areas of bankruptcy and commercial litigation, technology law and litigation, business litigation, and product liability.

Mr. Knowlton is a member of the South Carolina Bar and a member of its House of Delegates. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.

A member of the American Bar Association, he served in the ABA House of Delegates from 2002-04. Mr. Knowlton is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Defense Research Institute, the Richland County Bar Association (President, 2006), the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys' Association, and the South Carolina Bar Foundation (President, 2008-09). Mr. Knowlton was recognized in South Carolina Super Lawyers (2008-2012) in the Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights and Business Litigation categories and was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America (2009-2012) for Product Liability Litigation. He was selected by his peers for inclusion in the Greater Columbia Business Monthly's 2011 list of "Legal Elite" for his bankruptcy practice. He has an AV Martindale Hubbell rating.

Mr. Knowlton earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1984, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Washington and Lee University in 1981.
