Jonathan M. Kendall is an associate in the Atlanta office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP who practices in the areas of healthcare and life sciences and real estate law. 

Mr. Kendall is experienced in representing reorganized 501(c)(3) hospital systems and hospital authority-run systems and regularly works with local governments and hospital and development authorities.  Mr. Kendall also represents a variety of other healthcare entities including private equity funded and public healthcare entities.  Mr. Kendall has extensive experience with healthcare corporate matters, the creation, acquisition and sale of hospitals and healthcare corporations, and the development of healthcare facilities for healthcare providers.  Mr. Kendall also has experience assisting healthcare entities with responding to OIG/DOJ subpoenas.  

Mr. Kendall’s experience includes: 

  • Assisting healthcare systems with the creation of corporate structures, regulatory matters, and the zoning and development of mixed-use ambulatory and long-term care medical campuses
  • Representation of healthcare systems in the acquisition and disposition of hospitals, medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers, assisted living facilities, and other healthcare facilities
  •  Representation of healthcare systems in the acquisition of physician practices
  • Representation of healthcare systems in negotiations and contracts with physician practices for the provision of management and professional services
  • Assisting healthcare systems and physician practices with the creation of corporate structures, regulatory matters, and the development of medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers, and other healthcare facilities
  • Assisting hospital authorities with creating corporate structures, regulatory matters, and the development of publicly necessary healthcare facilities
  • Assisting healthcare entities with responding to OIG/DOJ subpoenas 

Mr. Kendall is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Healthcare Lawyers Association, the Georgia Healthcare Lawyers Association, and the Urban Land Institute. He is admitted to practice in Georgia.

In 2002, he earned a Juris Doctor from the Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law. In 1999, he earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Furman University.
