Jonathan J. Nugent is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in its Charlotte office. He has varied experience in real estate, real estate finance, structured finance, taxation, and bankruptcy law. Additionally, he has significant experience in finance transactions, representing national and regional clients in all aspects of commercial lending, as well as complex real estate, mezzanine finance, and equity investments.

He earned his Juris Doctor in 1996 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned a Bachelor of Laws, with honors, in 1989 from University College Dublin. He earned a Barrister-at-Law, with honors, at the Honorable Society of Kings Inns, Dublin.
