Julia Bright Hartley is an associate of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and practices in Charlotte in the area of business litigation.

Ms. Hartley has experience in handling consumer financial services matters in federal and state courts. In addition, Ms. Hartley has represented insurance companies in rescission actions based on material misrepresentations and interpleader actions in federal court. Ms. Hartley also works on a variety of other business litigation disputes involving general contract and tort matters.

A member of the North Carolina Bar, Ms. Hartley is also a member of the American Bar Association.

Ms. Hartley earned a Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2006. While in law school, Ms. Hartley served on the editorial board of the Tennessee Law Review and was a participant in the 2005 Dean Jerome Prince Evidence Moot Court Competition. In 2002, Ms. Hartley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport Management, summa cum laude, from the University of Tennessee.
