Kenneth L. Millwood is a senior litigation partner and managing partner of the Atlanta office of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and is the firm's General Counsel. A member of the firm's Executive Committee, a governing body of seven partners who oversee all firm standing committees, strategic initiatives and the overall operation of the firm, Mr. Millwood practices in the areas of business, securities and financial litigation, and antitrust and trade regulation.
Mr. Millwood has extensive experience in litigation against corporate officers and directors surrounding financial and accounting issues. A member of the State Bar of Georgia, Mr. Millwood is experienced in the areas of complex financial and commercial litigation. He has successfully tried cases involving securities, lender liability, antitrust claims, real estate investments and financing transactions. He has represented a myriad of clients in health care disputes, and state and federal regulatory and administrative hearings, and he has significant jury and non-jury trial experience in states and districts throughout the Southeast. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, several circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals, and numerous U.S. District Courts.
In 1975, Mr. Millwood earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law where he served as Executive Editor of Georgia Law Review and was named a Woodruff Scholar. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University in 1971, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia in 1969.
