J. Mark Jones is a partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP who practices in the areas of business, technology, and pharmaceutical litigation.
A member of the South Carolina Bar, Mr. Jones is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. Prior to joining the firm, he served as law clerk to U.S. District Judge Clyde Henry Hamilton.
Mr. Jones is a member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Richland County Bar Association.
In 1987, Mr. Jones earned a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor of South Carolina Law Review and as a legal writing instructor. At graduation, Mr. Jones was named to the Order of the Coif, and he was a member of the Order of Wig and Robe. In 1984, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and History, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
