Thomas F. Bardo is of counsel to Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Washington, D.C., where he practices in the areas of administrative law, immigration, international, and telecommunications law.
Specifically, Mr. Bardo’s practice includes communications law, business immigration matters, food and drug law, and U.S. trade sanctions regulations.
Mr. Bardo is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and New York. He is a member of the District of Columbia Bar Association.
Before joining Nelson Mullins, Mr. Bardo worked for another law firm in the District of Columbia.
Mr. Bardo has published the following articles: Wanted Skilled Aliens, Preferably Legal, AlleyCat News 2000; Fresh Hope for Foreign Operators as Jones Act Inches Closer to Reform, Lloyd’s List, June 23, 1999 (co-authored); Shipping Deregulation Speeds Up, Lloyd’s List, December 23, 1998 (co-authored).
Mr. Bardo earned a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1991. Before graduating law school, Mr. Bardo worked as a legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives for four years. In 1985, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, cum laude, from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service.
