Sara Pendarvis Bazemore is an associate of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in Myrtle Beach where she practices in the areas of administrative and regulatory law, and environmental litigation with a focus on air quality, water and coastal issues.

Mrs. Bazemore serves as a council member of the South Carolina Bar's Environment and Natural Resources Section, and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Carolinas Air Pollution Control Association.  Mrs. Bazemore is admitted to practice in the United State District Court for South Carolina.

Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Mrs. Bazemore clerked for Circuit Court Judge John M. Milling.  Mrs. Bazemore then served as a staff attorney for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Office of General Counsel where she prepared, negotiated and litigated environmental matters before the South Carolina Supreme Court, State Circuit Court, Administrative Law Court, Mining Council, as well as the DHEC Board.

Mrs. Bazemore earned a dual degree in 2005, with a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and a Master of Earth and Environmental Resources Management from the University of South Carolina School of the Environment. She was Chair of the Honor Council, a Judicial Merit Selection Commission Fellow, a law clerk for the Senate Judiciary Committee, a member of the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal, the vice-president of the Environmental Law Society, a student-member of the John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court, a Richland County Court Appointed Special Advocate, a member of the Pro Bono Board, and won the 2005 Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award. In 2000, Mrs. Bazemore earned a Certificate of Biblical Studies from Columbia International University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marine Science in 1998 from the University of South Carolina, and was awarded the prestigious Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award.
