Sarah B. Nielsen is an associate in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Columbia office, where she practices in the area of business litigation.
Prior to joining the Firm, she interned for the Honorable Margaret B. Seymour of the United States District Court, District of South Carolina.
Before law school, she served as executive assistant to the president of a political action committee in Vienna, Va. During that time, she also earned her Master of Arts in Political Communication from George Mason University.
In 2009, she earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was named to the Order of the Coif, was in the Order of the Wig and Robe, and served as a student member of the John Belton O'Neall Inn of Court. She was also a member of the Real Property, Probate, and Trust Journal. During law school, she earned CALI Awards in Criminal Procedure, Civil Procedure II, Professional Responsibility, and Federal Practice. Additionally, she was a student research assistant for Professor Joel Samuels.
In 2004, she earned a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Communication from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.
