Shane Gunter is of cousel in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Charlotte office. He has experience in originating loans for the commercial mortgage-backed securities market, including retail, office, hospitality, multifamily, and mixed-use properties. He has experience representing banks and other financial institutions in connection with asset-backed securitizations, real estate-backed securitizations, leveraged leases, bankruptcy remote transactions, and other financial structures. Mr. Gunter also advises clients on issues that arise under the Uniform Commercial Code.

He earned his Juris Doctor in 1999 from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Science, magna cum laude, in 1996 from Gardner-Webb University.
