Suhail Seth is of counsel in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Atlanta office. His practice focuses on a variety of transnational business and investment matters, including acquisitions and mergers, and many types of sales, distribution, franchising, licensing and joint venture relationships.
Mr. Seth's experience includes:
- Negotiating, drafting and overseeing execution of agreements for numerous business transactions and strategic business ventures for high net-worth individuals and closely owned family businesses in the United States, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.
- Drafting various documents, resolutions and agreements for $400 million dollar restructuring transaction of various entities engaged in the marketing and distribution of consumer neutraceutical and cosmeceutical products and the acquisition and development of intellectual property used in connection with such marketing and distribution activities.
- Assisting various private clients with the financing, acquisition, refitting, and disposition of large assets such as aircraft, boats and luxury yachts.
- Structuring and negotiating off-shore outsourcing arrangements to India, including: medical bill processing, pharmaceutical production and information technology and e-commerce applications.
- In connection with Intellectual Property related transactions, advising on wide range of e-commerce, online and privacy related matters; conducting legal research and analysis on various IP and contractual issues; drafting and negotiating technology based licensing and distribution agreements.
Mr. Seth has participated in a variety of seminars, including, for example:
- Choosing a Corporate Entity when Investing in the United States - Argentine-American Chamber of Commerce in Miami, Florida (2004)
- World Economic Forum - Indian Economic Summit in New Delhi, India (2004)
- Gulf Co-operation Council Forum in Muscat, Oman (2002).
Mr. Seth's publication credits include:
- "Intellectual Property in Argentina," Trademark Practice & Forms, by N. Stephan Kinsella; (2003).
While attending law school at the Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans, Louisiana, Mr. Seth served on the Tulane Journal of Intellectual Property and earned a Certificate in International Arbitration. He was an International Finance major at the University of Georgia where he was an Alumni Scholarship recipient and earned a minor in Spanish.
Mr. Seth also served as an Adjunct Professor in Contracts Law at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., from 2004-2005. From 2002-2004, he served as an assistant to the Florida chairman and national vice-chairman of Senator John Kerry's finance committee with raising funds for Senator Kerry's Presidential campaign in the State of Florida.
