Tara Cloer Sullivan is an associate of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP who practices in Columbia in the areas of complex business litigation, focusing on lender liability and banking fraud, and franchise and distribution litigation. 

Ms. Sullivan is a member of the South Carolina state bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.

Ms. Sullivan previously worked at another well known South Carolina law firm representing lenders in the areas of foreclosure and tax sale litigation. Ms. Sullivan was a Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough summer associate.

She earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2010 from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe, Order of the Coif, and Phi Delta Phi; served on the editorial board of the South Carolina Law Review; and received a CALI Award in Civil Procedure I.  She also participated in the Non-Profit Organizations Clinic, providing legal assistance to several charitable organizations.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Criminal Justice and Criminology, summa cum laude, from the University of South Carolina Honors College in 2007.
