Taylor Hood is an associate in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s West Virginia office. His practice focuses on commercial litigation, mass torts and class actions. He also has a background and experience in the area of taxation and business entities.
In 2010, Mr. Hood earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio. He served as both a Law Review staff member and a Law Review Note Editor. His Law Review article is published as Fair-Value Accounting: Maintain, Reform, or Eradicate, 38 Cap. U. Law Rev. 857 (2010). Mr. Hood was a CALI Award recipient in both Real Estate Taxation and Legal Research and Writing.
After receiving his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, magna cum laude, from Marshall University in 2004, Mr. Hood worked as an associate at a public accounting firm in West Virginia for two years. During that time, he received his license to practice as a Certified Public Accountant in West Virginia.
Mr. Hood is a member of the West Virginia Bar Association, the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia, DRI – The Voice of the Defense Bar, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
