Travis A. Bustamante is an associate of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and practices in Charlotte in the area of general litigation.

Mr. Bustamante earned a Juris Doctor from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2011. While in law school, Mr. Bustamante served as an associate student research editor for the Lexington Principles Project. He was also a semifinalist in the John W. Davis Appellate Advocacy Competition, a quarterfinalist in the Robert Grey Negotiations Competition and a participant in the Davis Mock Trial.

Mr. Bustamante was a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society, the International Law Society and was selected to compete in the JESSUP International Law competition as an Oral Advocate.

Mr. Bustamante gained experience while working as a summer intern for the Honorable Jose E. Martinez in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida where he drafted court orders and bench memorandums, examined motions to prepare factual statements for summary judgment opinions and worked closely with judicial clerks in analyzing issues before the Court.

In 2008, Mr. Bustamante earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, in Economics and Spanish from the University of Mississippi.
