Whistleblower allegations pose a substantial risk of litigation, damage awards, and regulatory enforcement penalties.  NMRS is experienced in helping our clients implement measures to avoid whistleblower litigation. Our whistleblower work includes:
  • Cost effective handling of wrongful termination cases beginning with early and frequent communication with in-house counsel and human resource professionals.
  • Developing polices and training programs to increase employees’ awareness of safety issues, the expectation of management with regard to employee concerns, and cooperation by employees with internal and government investigations.

Evaluating the circumstances surrounding the termination and determining the validity of the claim, whether the challenge is brought under a breach of contract theory, public policy theory, or a statutory theory involving discrimination, harassment, or retaliation.
