to Ambassador David H. Wilkins
Ashley Martin is a special advisor to Ambassador David H. Wilkins at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP in the Public Policy and International Law practice group, which focuses primarily on representing businesses on both sides of the U.S.-Canadian border and offering experience on a wide range of strategic bilateral issues.
Ms. Martin has worked with Ambassador David Wilkins since November 2003 in a number of key positions that took her from the Office of the Speaker of the S.C. House of Representative’s office in Columbia, South Carolina, to the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa, Canada.
Ms. Martin serves as the Ambassador’s manager of appearances and events, maintaining his scheduling, briefing, and research materials. Her duties also included major event planning and coordination. She has traveled widely throughout Canada and has extensive contacts on both sides of the U.S.-Canadian border, in Washington D.C., and in the South Carolina State House.
Ms. Martin’s employment with Nelson Mullins marks a homecoming as she was employed as a project assistant at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough before her employment with David Wilkins at the State House.
Ms. Martin will continue in her vital role of managing the Ambassador’s schedule, travel, and events, as well as representing the Public Policy and International practice group at the State House in tracking and researching legislation.
She is a graduate of Winthrop University and resides in Columbia.
