Justin Meyers is a policy advisor in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough’s Washington office. Mr. Meyers assists clients with their federal government matters including legislative and regulatory issues. Mr. Meyers focuses on energy, environmental and climate change policy. Mr. Meyers also works on U.S.-Canada strategic bilateral issues with former United States Ambassador to Canada Ambassador David H. Wilkins.
Before joining Nelson Mullins, Mr. Meyers worked on Congressional and regulatory matters relating to energy, the environment and climate change in the Alberta Washington Office, which is co-located in the Canadian Embassy in Washington, DC.
Previously, Mr. Meyers worked at the Western Standard, a political magazine in Canada. Mr. Meyers was a volunteer on Prime Minister Stephen Harper's election campaign during the 2006 Canadian federal election.
Mr. Meyers earned his Master of Laws at American University's Washington College of Law where he studied with an emphasis in Law and Government. He earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom. While at the University of Leicester, Mr. Meyers won several moot court competitions and mooting prizes. Mr. Meyers earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Calgary in Canada, where he was awarded the Jason Lang Scholarship for outstanding academic achievement. Mr. Meyers is a native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and currently resides in Washington, DC
