Sarah Barclay Hoffman serves as a policy advisor for EducationCounsel LLC, in affiliation with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough. As a former public affairs advisor for another large national law firm, Ms. HOffman conducted education policy research in a variety of areas, including high school redesign and school safety.
Ms. Hoffman also worked in public health for the Baltimore City Health Department. As a Mayoral Fellow, she conducted a data analysis of childhood lead poisoning cases that she used to inform policy recommendations for Mayor Sheila Dixon. From 2003-2006 she worked as a program assistant in government relations for the Children’s Defense Fund (CDF). At CDF, Ms. Hoffman managed online advocacy, provided briefing materials for the President, Marian Wright Edelman, and tracked the appropriations of key children's programs.

Ms. Hoffman earned a Master of Public Policy from Duke University’s Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government, magna cum laude, from Colby College.
