Five Associates Join Nelson Mullins in Columbia

COLUMBIA (Nov. 19, 2009) -- Five new associates have joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough in its Columbia office:

brianBrian M. Barnwell practices in the area of business litigation. He earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2009 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in History, summa cum laude with honors in English, in 2006 from Presbyterian College.

 

 

 

 

harterWilliam D. "Will" Harter practices in the area of litigation. Mr. Harter served in the United States Marine Corps from 1998-2003. He earned a Juris Doctor in 2009 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina.

 

 

 

 

LutherJason P. Luther practices in business and distribution litigation. A former editor in chief of the South Carolina Law Review, he earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2009 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, magna cum laude, in 2004 from Covenant College. Beginning in August 2010, he will serve as a law clerk to the Honorable Dennis W. Shedd of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

 

 

 

 

NielsenSarah B. Nielsen practices in the area of business litigation. A former intern for the Honorable Margaret B. Seymour of the United States District Court, District of South Carolina, she earned her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2009 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. She earned her Master of Arts in Political Communication from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Communication from George Mason University.

 

 

 

 

postonKeith Poston practices in the areas of bankruptcy and creditors' rights, consumer financial services litigation, and financial institutions. He is a former controller and accountant for an international chemical and textile manufacturing corporation. He earned a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2009 from Valparaiso University School of Law. In 2002, Mr. Poston earned a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Erskine College with a double major in Business Administration (Economics emphasis) and History.
