Nelson Mullins Attorneys Recognized for Excellent Client Service
FEBRUARY 16, 2011 — Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough partners Stephen G. Morrison and Richard B. North Jr. were recognized for excellence in client services in the BTI Client Service All-Star Team for Law Firms 2011, which was released this week.
The BTI Client Service All-Star Team for Law Firms 2011 draws on unprompted candid feedback from corporate counsel at the world's largest organizations. As part of BTI's one-on-one interviews, they ask General Counsel and their direct reports to delineate, unprompted, the attorneys delivering the absolute best client service. This year, 318 individual attorneys from 201 law firms earned the recognition.
BTI Client Service All-Stars does not accept law firm submissions, attorney self nominations or suggestions as to corporate counsel to interview. BTI controls all aspects of the interview process. BTI selects and interviews thought leading corporate counsel and those who help manage the legal issues at large companies.
Mr. Morrison is a partner in the Columbia office where he practices in the areas of technology law and litigation, business liability, product liability, and securities litigation. He has served as lead counsel in more than 20 states, has tried more than 
240 cases to jury verdict, and has argued more than 60 appeals in the nation’s highest courts, including an argument before the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. North is a partner in Atlanta where his litigation practice includes aviation law, product liability, and commercial litigation. He has tried complex cases in courts throughout the nation and has also advised clients on litigation matters in international jurisdictions. He has served as national counsel for a medical device manufacturer, and regional counsel for a number of other manufacturers.
