Nelson Mullins' Hawkins Appointed ABA Committee Vice Chair
COLUMBIA, S.C. (Jan. 26, 2011) -- Bernie Hawkins, a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP's Columbia office, has been appointed as a vice chair of the Climate Change, Sustainable Development, and Ecosystems Committee of the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources.
Mr. Hawkins has substantive experience in all aspects of environmental law, toxic tort and pharmaceutical/drug and medical device litigation. He has managed such matters on national and international bases for Fortune 500 companies.
The section is a forum for lawyers working in areas related to the environment, natural resources, and energy. The section provides members with opportunities to enhance professional skills, stay on top of developments, and to participate in dialogue in these substantive areas.
