Nelson Mullins' Gammon to Serve on NC Bar Board of Governors

RALEIGH (June 21, 2011) -- The N.C. Bar Association has elected William H. Gammon, a partner in Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Raleigh office, to a three-year term on its Board of Governors and its Foundation Board of Directors. His term begins later this month.

Mr. Gammon, who also serves on and is former chair of the Bar's Construction Law Section Council, has a broad private construction and public contracts law practice. The public contracts practice includes experience in disputes involving both federal and state government supply and construction matters, pre-award controversies such as bid protests, claims analysis and presentation, negotiations, claims litigation, procurement fraud counseling, prosecution and defense of Miller Act claims, and contract appeals.

The North Carolina Bar Association, founded in 1899, is a voluntary organization of lawyers, paralegals and law students dedicated to serving the public and the legal profession. The N.C. Bar Center in Cary serves as headquarters for the NCBA and the NCBA Foundation, Inc.
