Nelson Mullins' Hollingsworth Joins Dan Uggla's Diamonds in the Rough
ATLANTA (Aug. 31, 2011) – Michael Hollingsworth, managing partner of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Atlanta office, has joined the executive board of Dan Uggla's Diamonds in the Rough Foundation. The organization provides opportunities, support, and resources to children and families in need.
Established in 2011 by the Atlanta Braves power-hitting second baseman, Diamonds in the Rough focuses on improving the lives of low-income Atlanta-area children by providing daily support and life changing experiences. Through its signature programs, Diamonds in the Rough will have impacted the lives of more than 100,000 children and their family members by the end of 2012.
Mr. Hollingsworth co-heads the Nelson Mullins Mergers & Acquisitions Group and focuses his practice on middle-market corporate transactions. He founded the Southeastern M&A Forum and is active in the Association for Corporate Growth, the Southern Capital Forum, and the ABA's Mergers and Acquisitions Committee.
He also is active in the community as a member of the Cathedral of St. Philip where he is an usher. He serves on the membership committee of Ansley Golf Club and is on the board of trustees of St. Andrew's-Sewanee School, an Episcopal boarding and day college preparatory school in Sewanee, Tennessee.
