Pocock named to '40 Leaders Under 40'

FEBRUARY 22, 2011 - Winston-Salem partner Donald Pocock has been named to the Greater Triad Area Business Journal's 40 Leaders Under 40, a group of 40 individuals who are making a name for themselves in their careers and in the community.

In 2010, Mr. Pocock was named partner in the East Coast law firm of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP. He is a trusted legal advisor to individuals, businesses, and financial institutions in disputes related to contracts, real estate, and consumer rights.

During 2009 and 2010, Mr. Pocock volunteered his time to tutor a student at Kimberley Park Elementary School, a Winston-Salem public school where the majority of students come from a challenging home environment. He also regularly volunteers to teach and mentor students at Wake Forest University School of Law. Mr. Pocock and his wife are Members of Friends of Brenner Children’s Hospital of Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. "Friends" is a group of dedicated volunteers who support Brenner through fund-raising and community-awareness activities. He is a current board member and Program Chair for Stratford Rotary Club.  His responsibilities include organizing speakers on a weekly basis for the club.
