Sara Pendarvis Bazemore Joins Nelson Mullins in Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH(July 11, 2011) – Sara Pendarvis Bazemore has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Myrtle Beach office where she is an associate. She practices in the areas of administrative and regulatory law and environmental litigation.
Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, Mrs. Bazemore clerked for Circuit Court Judge John M. Milling. Mrs. Bazemore then served as a staff attorney for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Office of General Counsel where she prepared, negotiated and litigated environmental matters before the South Carolina Supreme Court, State Circuit Court, Administrative Law Court, Mining Council, as well as the DHEC Board.
Mrs. Bazemore serves as a council member of the South Carolina Bar's Environment and Natural Resources Section, and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Carolinas Air Pollution Control Association. She also served as one of the editors of the ABA Summer 2011 Newsletter of the Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Law Center.
She earned a dual degree in 2005, with a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and a Master of Earth and Environmental Resources Management from the University of South Carolina School of the Environment. In 2000, Mrs. Bazemore earned a Certificate of Biblical Studies from Columbia International University. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marine Science in 1998 from the University of South Carolina, and was awarded the prestigious Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award.
