Michael Stanley Joins Nelson Mullins in Boston

BOSTON (Jan. 20, 2012) – Michael Stanley has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough's Boston office as an associate. Mr. Stanley focuses his practice on business litigation, consumer finance litigation, product liability and appellate law.

Mr. Stanley has experience coordinating insurance litigation for long-tail asbestos and hazardous waste exposure for a Massachusetts-based corporation. He also worked as a summer associate at a Massachusetts law firm.

Mr. Stanley is a former law clerk to the Honorable Judge William G. Young of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts as well as to the Honorable Magistrate Judge Robert B. Collings of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Mr. Stanley earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2010 from Vermont Law School, where he was the articles editor of the Vermont Law Review. He earned an American Jurisprudence Award in Contract Law and was awarded a merit scholarship. 

Mr. Stanley earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Conservation from the University of New Hampshire in 2007.
