Nelson Mullins Promotes Two in Winston-Salem

WINSTON-SALEM -- The partners of Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP have promoted Winston-Salem attorneys Scott Templeton and Don Pocock to partner. Mr. Templeton formerly was of counsel, and Mr. Pocock was an associate.

Mr. Templeton practices in the areas of corporate, healthcare, and employment law. He works with a broad range of healthcare providers, technology-intensive companies, and other business and professional clients in acquisition, merger, and joint venture transactions, contract negotiations, entity formation and governance, regulatory compliance, policy drafting, employment advising, and related commercial, regulatory, and employment litigation, among other matters.  Before returning to Winston-Salem in 2004, Scott served for seven years as North Carolina’s deputy secretary of state, and for several years was legal counsel to the state Department of Labor.

 

 

pocockMr. Pocock's practice consists primarily of business and commercial litigation including class action defense, consumer finance disputes, professional liability, and product liability. He represents a number of lenders and financial services companies in consumer disputes and has extensive experience in litigation related to property and land development, having represented and advised individuals and businesses in the construction industry including contractors, architects, engineers and building product designers, manufacturers, and distributors.
